The Friends of Nesko Foundation was set up to support Nesko's continuity in the long term, both artistically and financially. The Friends Foundation also looks after the Nesko archive.

Do you have a soft spot for Nesko? Then become a Friend via the "Become a Friend!" section on this website. You can become a Friend with a contribution of just €10 a year. As a Friend of Nesko, you'll receive a digital newsletter to keep you up to date on Nesko's projects and concerts. You'll also be invited to events organised especially for our Friends.

Since its founding in 1964, Nesko has had a rich history. Good years and difficult years have come and gone, but almost every year a new board has stepped up and put together another wonderful edition of Nesko. To keep this continuity going in the long term, the Friends of Nesko Foundation supports the orchestra.

The main goal of the Friends Foundation is to support the orchestra financially. Because of current developments in the cultural sector, it is a challenge to attract enough sponsors and external funding over a longer period. The Friends Foundation therefore makes sure that Nesko can rely on a solid financial base. Thanks to the Friends' annual donations, the Foundation can make a financial contribution to the Nesko project every year. In addition, the board can apply each year for investments that the orchestra will benefit from for several years. For example, the Friends Foundation has previously helped pay for a new conductor's podium, music stands and clothes racks.

The Foundation also looks after the orchestra's archive, so that Nesko's rich history is preserved. It also organises activities for Friends and former members, and stays in touch with the orchestra's alumni.

Finally, the Foundation is a steady point of contact for the board. With its knowledge and experience, it offers advice, lends a helping hand where needed and is always ready to answer questions.
